AI-Technician

We are looking for an AI Technician (Assembly & Integration) for Airbus Defence and Space Netherlands in Leiden. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly and integration of high-tech aerospace hardware in accordance with detailed work instructions and quality standards. You will work in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the successful production of advanced space systems. The position requires a hands-on mentality, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality. You will report to the Team Leader Assembly & Integration. In The Netherlands, Airbus has multiple production and office sites, with over 250 FTE of staff combined. The majority of these employees focus on the delivery of hardware to the space industry (e.g. satellite solar arrays and launcher structures). Airbus Netherlands operates as a cross-divisional entity and supports strengthening the connection between Dutch players and the various Airbus divisions. Key responsibilities Assemble and integrate aerospace hardware according to technical work instructions and quality procedures. Perform mechanical assembly activities with a high level of precision and accuracy. Use digital work instructions and production systems via tablets and other computer-based applications. Carry out inspections and ensure all work meets the required aerospace quality standards. Identify and report technical deviations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Work closely with fellow Assembly & Integration Technicians, engineers and the Team Leader to achieve project milestones. Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment in accordance with company procedures. Support testing and integration activities where required. Team player with good communication skills. Eager to learn and motivated to work in the aerospace industry. Proactive, reliable and able to work independently when required. Comfortable working in a highly regulated production environment. Requirements MBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering or a related technical field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an assembly or production environment. Experience within the aerospace industry or a comparable high-tech manufacturing environment is preferred. Basic computer skills and experience working with digital production systems or tablets. Good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written. Available 40 hours per week and willing to work fully on-site in Leiden. Recruitment process Technical assessment.
