Data Engineer (Datawarehousing & ETL)

Job description In general terms, the activities can be described as follows: Setting up and developing data flows (from source extraction to dashboards & applications) Data governance/data warehousing, ETL and data management Advising on the alignment of data-driven processes Data modeling Supporting execution through analyses and data enrichment/processing Assignment background The Extraordinary Affairs Blue (BZB) program works on complex, politically urgent assignments of a temporary nature, granted by the Tax and Customs Administration management team. These assignments require interdepartmental coordination and fall outside the primary processes of the Tax and Customs Administration. BZB focuses, among other things, on remedial work and innovative working methods, such as artificial intelligence and process automation. The BZB program implements various programs, such as the wrongfully rejected requests regarding Amicable Debt Restructuring for Natural Persons (MSNP), the Temporary Block Connection Allowance (TTB) subsidy scheme, and the MijnHerstel route for DGH. Organizational context and culture The Tax and Customs Administration contributes to a financially healthy Netherlands. We do this by levying and collecting taxes fairly and carefully. With this mission, we ensure that there is funding in the Netherlands for healthcare, education, and public transport, among other things.
